I didn't really know what to expect going into Aida, but came out with some new favourite songs. Heather Hadley and Adam Pascal (of Rent fame) are brilliant leads for Aida, both with out of this WORLD vocal performances. They really make this musical and bring such life into the characters. Some great ballads and ensemble numbers, Aida details a forbidden love story in Ancient Egypt, providing elements for much yearning and anger. I absolutely LOVED it and cannot wait to add it into my rotation.
